Ticketing Information

Ans:
  1. You can purchase tickets via the Penghu GO Ferry Booking System, which offers multiple online payment options.
  2. Payment must be completed in a single transaction. If a transaction fails, please rebook your tickets.
Ans: You cannot choose seats when booking online. If you want to choose seats, you can only do so when you purchase tickets in the waiting room, and the ticket seller will handle the selection based on the seat availability.
Ans:
  1. E-Ticket: An e-ticket will be issued upon successful online booking, which must be presented for boarding.
  2. Boarding Certificate: After completing the journey, passengers can download the boarding certificate from the system.
  3. Physical Ticket: Physical paper tickets are not provided for online reservations.

  1. Before boarding, passengers must present either a paper ticket or an e-ticket with a QR code displayed on an internet-connected device, along with valid identification.
  2. Both paper and e-tickets must be scanned by ticketing personnel before boarding.
  3. If the ticket is not used within the designated boarding time, it will be considered "used" and no refunds or exchanges will be provided.

  2. When booking, each passenger must provide their full name, date of birth, and national ID number (passport or ARC number for foreign nationals) to facilitate verification during boarding.

Ticket type description

Ticket Type Description
Full Fare Ticket Applicable to non-residents of Wang’an and Qimei aged 12 to 64 who do not qualify for other fare categories.
Half Fare Ticket
  1. Children aged 3 to 11.
  2. Taiwanese nationals with disabilities, along with one guardian or necessary companion.
  3. Passengers aged 65 and above.
  4. Police officers stationed in Wang’an or Qimei with official documentation, traveling on fixed-route sailings.
  5. Residents of Wang’an and Qimei traveling on extended Kaohsiung sailings.
Special Insurance Fare
(Charged according to the annual bidding price)
  1. Residents of Wang’an and Qimei traveling on both fixed-route sailings and extended Kaohsiung sailings on the Magong–Wang’an–Qimei route.
  2. Residents of Wang’an and Qimei aged 65 and above traveling on extended Kaohsiung sailings.
  3. Students registered in Wang'an or Qimei (from elementary school to university) taking the "Friday special ship".
  4. Residents of Magong, Huxi, Baisha, and Xiyu aged 65 and above, as well as holders of the Penghu Honorary Citizen Certificate.
  5. Children under 3 years old.
Military, Police, and Student Ticket FAvailable to active military personnel, police officers, and students (elementary to university level) with valid identification.
30% Discounted Fare for Residents of Magong, Huxi, Baisha, and Xiyu Residents of Magong, Huxi, Baisha, and Xiyu traveling on fixed-route sailings and extended Kaohsiung sailings on the Magong–Wang’an–Qimei route between November and March.

Refund Policy

Ans:
  1. Non-Refundable Cases: 
    Once the ferry has departed, the ticket becomes invalid and is considered "used." No refunds or exchanges will be provided.
  2. Refunds with Service Fees: 
    Refunds for domestic fixed-route sailings are subject to a 10% handling fee, as per the regulations of the Penghu County Government City Bus and Ferry Management Office.
Ans:
  1. Cancellations due to personal reasons must be requested before 21:00 on the day before departure, and is subject to a cancellation handling fee. For details, please contact the County Government City Bus and Ferry Management Office at 06-9272376 or Penghu GO Customer Service.

  1. If a sailing is canceled due to typhoons, severe weather, or other force majeure events, passengers who booked online will receive a full refund from the Penghu County Government City Bus and Ferry Management Office.

Important Notes

Ans:
  1. Passengers must present an original National ID card or a photo identification document when purchasing tickets and boarding the ferry.
  2. Ticket prices are inclusive of insurance fees, and fares for departures from Kaohsiung include business tax.
  3. Passengers traveling on the Nanhai Star and Nanhai Star 2 ferries are covered by a NT$3.5 million personal injury insurance.
  4. If a private vessel is chartered, passenger group accident insurance must be purchased as per regulations.
  5. If you qualify for multiple discounts, you can only choose one discount for the ticket purchase.
  6. Please collect your ticket and documents, and check your change at the ticket counter upon purchase. You bear full responsibility for the items after leaving the counter.
